Coupon Book

• Sheet of construction paper
• Xerox paper
• Markers/Crayons/Pencil Colors/Pencil
• Scissors
• Hole Punch
• Twine/Yarn/Ribbon

Time

1 – 2 hours

Procedure

Instruct students to:

1. Fold Xerox paper in half 2 x to form 4 rows.
2. Open, then fold in half length wise so that you have 8 equal sections.
3. Decorate coupons with details.
4. Write various services such as:
   • Wash, dry and put up the dishes
   • Set and clear the table
   • Vacuum the house
   • Hugs and kisses
   • Rake and bag up the leaves
   • Clean my room
   • Do the laundry
   • Uninterrupted hour of quiet time
   • Night of TV choosing of her choice
   • Car wash and vacuum
   • Mother’s choice
5. Cut apart.
6. Make book covering out of a rectangle of construction paper 3” by 9.”
7. Fold in half and decorate.
8. Stack coupons and place inside of cover
9. Hole punch/Staple
10. Attach a decorative length.
