DAISY

MATERIALS

Yellow, green and black construction paper

Straw

Markers/Crayons/Pencil Colors/Pencil

Glue

Scissors

Large circle pattern

Small circle pattern

Leaf pattern

TIME

Under 1 hour

PROCEDURE

Instruct students to

            Fold construction paper in half and cut into 2 halves.

Pass to a classmate.

Fold construction paper in half to make 2 daisies.

Make 1 daisy at a time.

Draw a circle with a 4” diameter out of the yellow construction paper for the daisy.

            Fold in half.

Then fold in half again.

            Along the outside edge draw pointed edges.

Cut out and open.

Draw a small circle on the black construction paper for the center.

            Cut out.

            Fringe along the circumference by making small slashes to the center.

            Glue to the center of the yellow circle.

Draw and cut out leaf.

Attach daisy to the topside of the straw.

Add leaves.
