Yellow construction paper

Scraps of brow or orange construction paper

Procedure
Instruct students to:
-
Trace and cut 2 hands on the yellow paper to serve as the chick’s wings.

Cut an oval or egg shape out of the yellow paper about 3x larger than hands to be in scale with the wings.

Attach wings onto the oval body.
-
Cut diamond shape beak from the orange/brown construction paper.
-
Bend it in the middle and attach to the bottom half of the chick’s body.
-
Add black circle for eyes.
-
Cut 2 legs with 3 pointy toes from the orange/brown construction paper for the feet.
-
Attach legs to the backside of the chick.
-
Add a message on its body.
