This is a great fun and easy project for open house. Parents will enjoy trying to guess which child is theirs.Materials
- Construction paper
- Construction paper scraps
- Xerox paper
- Circle templates (8”, nickel, dime)
- Markers/Crayons/Pencil Colors/Pencil
- Yarn
- Scissors
- Glue
Time
Approximately 1 hour
Procedure
Instruct students to:
- Draw 8” diameter circle on a sheet of construction paper for a face.
- Cut into 2 sections and share with a classmate.
- Cut nickel size pink/red circles for cheeks.
- Cut nickel size white circles for the eyes.
- Cut smaller black circles for the pupils.
- Cut small pink circle for the nose.
- Cut a curved or heart shape for the mouth.
- Glue facial features in the appropriate places.
- Add eyelashes and eyebrows with colors.
- Cut varying lengths of yarn for the hair.
- Attach to head.
- Write name on the back.
Variation
- Students can use various size rectangles to form body parts.
- Attach together to form a garland.
