Wire bag twist/pipe cleaner

Procedure
Instruct students to:

Trace hands on construction paper 6x to form butterfly wings.

Cut out the tracings.

Draw a butterfly’s body by tracing the bottom of 1 sneaker on a piece of dark construction paper,
-
Cut out the tracing.
-
Attach the hand print tracings to the body, three on each side with the fingers pointing outward.
-
Curl the ends of wire bag twist/pipe cleaner into balls to form the butterfly’s antennae.
-
Attach to the backside of the butterfly’s head.
-
Draw eyes on the butterfly’s head.
-
Decorate the wings with crayons or markers.
-
Attach length to hang.
