Thanksgiving Crafts

Hand Print Turkey

• White and brown construction paper
• Scraps of red and brown/orange/yellow construction paper
• Markers/Crayons/Pencil Colors/Pencil
• Scissors
• Glue
• Twine/Yarn/Ribbon

Time

Approximately 1 hour

Procedure

Instruct students to:

1. Trace hand on white construction paper.2x)
2. Cut out the pattern.
3. Decorate hand pattern with different colors.
4. Cut brown rectangular piece of construction paper 4 ½ ” by 6.”
5. Glue to form a tube 4 ½ ” long. (Body)
6. Cut a 2” by 6” rectangular piece.
7. Glue to form a tube 2” long. (Head)
8. Center and attach to 1st tube.
9. Cut out a beak and feet out of the orange/yellow construction paper.
10. Cut a gobbler out of red construction paper.
11. Cut eyes out of white and black construction paper.
12. Attach facial features
13. Attach the feathers to the back of the tubes.
14. Attach length and hang.
