Hand Print Turkey
Materials- White and brown construction paper
- Scraps of red and brown/orange/yellow construction paper
- Markers/Crayons/Pencil Colors/Pencil
- Scissors
- Glue
- Twine/Yarn/Ribbon
Time
Approximately 1 hour
Procedure
Instruct students to:
- Trace hand on white construction paper.2x)
- Cut out the pattern.
- Decorate hand pattern with different colors.
- Cut brown rectangular piece of construction paper 4 ½ ” by 6.”
- Glue to form a tube 4 ½ ” long. (Body)
- Cut a 2” by 6” rectangular piece.
- Glue to form a tube 2” long. (Head)
- Center and attach to 1st tube.
- Cut out a beak and feet out of the orange/yellow construction paper.
- Cut a gobbler out of red construction paper.
- Cut eyes out of white and black construction paper.
- Attach facial features
- Attach the feathers to the back of the tubes.
- Attach length and hang.
