May Day Baskets

• Construction paper
• Construction paper scraps
• Markers/Crayons/Pencil Colors/Pencil
• Scissors
• Glue/Staples
• Hole punch
• Twine/Yarn/Ribbon

Under 1 hour

Procedure

Instruct students to:

1. Draw and cut out a circle with a 9” diameter from the sheet of construction paper.
2. Decorate one side of the circle using coloring, construction paper, etc.
3. Curl the paper plate into a cone shape.
4. Glue/tape in place.
5. Hole punch two holes in the top of the container opposite each other
6. Attach a length so you can hang the basket on the door handle.
7. Fill with handmade flowers from art/craft projects.
