Mother's Day Crafts

MATERIALS

Sheet of light colored construction paper

Markers/Crayons/Pencil Colors/Pencil

Scissors

Glue

Loose-leaf

TIME

Less than 1 hour

PROCEDURE

Instruct students to

Fold construction paper in half to form a 6” by 9” rectangle.

Cut into 2 rectangles and exchange with a classmate for a contrasting color.

On loose-leaf, have students plan what they want to put on their mini posters.

First think of and carry out a design including flowers, leaves, birds, etc.

Then think of and write out statements about his/her mom in paragraph form or poetry.

She gives me hugs and kisses.

She cooks my favorite foods.

She helps me with my homework.

Transfer to mini poster.
