Mobile (Snowflake)
Substitute any flat or dimensional item in place of the snowflake.

Construction paper

2 sheets of Xerox paper per student

Procedure
Instruct students to:
-
Fold and cut Xerox paper in half to form 4-4 ¼” by 11’ stripes.
- Fold each piece into ½” accordion pleats.
- Cut a notch on each long side at the center.
- Tie securely with a length.
- Make a variety of cuts on both sides of the folder paper.
- Run a line of glue along outside pleats.
- Glue outside pleats together.
- Attach a string to top of snowflake.
- Cut a 1” by 12” strip of construction paper.

Glue ends together to form a circle.

Punch 4 equally spaced hole in the circle.

Attach snowflakes with 4 different lengths of string.

Knot 4 ends together.

Hang from a line strung across the room.
Variation
Make mobiles using doves or snowmen
