MATERIAL

Sheet of construction paper (half light and half dark)

Scraps

Markers/Crayons/Pencil Colors/Pencil

Stencils

Scissors

Glue

TIME

Under 1 hour

PROCEDURE

Instruct students to

            Fold and cut sheet of construction paper lengthwise. (4 ˝’ by 12”)

            Exchange half with a classmate.

Write name either free handed or using stencils on 1 strip.

Trim around the length of name in a wavy or zigzag pattern.

Decorate with items that reflect student’s interest.

 

Glue to other strip.
