PAPER CHAIN CATERPILLARMATERIALS Green sheet of construction paper Construction paper scraps Markers/Crayons/Pencil Colors/Pencil Ruler Scissors Glue/tape/stapler TIME 1 hour PROCEDURE Instruct students to Fold construction paper in half to form 2 sections 9” by 6.” Cut into 2 sections and share with classmate. Using ruler, mark construction paper into 8 – 6” by 1” strips. Cut apart. . Attach 1 together to form a circle. Connect the other seven to form a chain. (Body) Cut a circle with approximately a 1” diameter from the remaining piece of construction paper to form the head. Add facial features using marker/crayons/pencil colors. Glue on two tiny triangular jaws (mandibles). Glue the head to the caterpillar.
