PERSONALITY STRIP

MATERIALS

Light colored sheet of construction paper

Scissors

Markers/Crayons/Pencil Colors/Pencil

Glue

Hole Punch

Twine/Yarn/Ribbon

TIME

Under 1 hour

PROCEDURE

Instruct students to

            Fold a 9” by 12” sheet of construction paper in half lengthwise.

            Cut on the fold and glue the ends together to make one long strip.

            Lightly draw a design that runs the length of the strip.

            Write your name somewhere within the design.

            Write words that describe your personality.

Decorate

Make cuts every ¼” on both of the long edges of the strip, stopping when you reach the design’s lines.

            Fold the cut strips to the front and back, alternating as you work.

            Punch a hole in the top of your strip and add a length of colorful length.

            Hang.
