Scraps of red and white construction paper

Markers/Crayons/Pencil/colors/Pencil

Scissors

Ruler

Glue

Yarn

TIME

Under 1 hour

PROCEDURE

Instruct student helpers to distribute art/craft supplies.

Instruct students to

            Cut a white square 2” by 2” square for the face.

Cut a red triangle for the hat with a 2” or slightly smaller base and a height of approximately 2.”

Cut various size circles for eyes and tassel.

Cut thin white lengths approximately 1” long for the beard.

Add facial features.

Glue hat to the top of face.
