SNOWMAN (PACKING PEANUTS)MATERIALS Construction paper Black hole punch outs Markers/Crayons/Pencil Colors/Pencil Scissors Glue Twine/Yarn/Ribbon TIME Approximately 1 hour PROCEDURE Instruct students to Fold construction paper in half to form a 9” by 6” rectangle. Cut into 2 rectangles. Give 1 to a classmate. Roll ½ of the construction paper to form a cylinder 6” tall. Glue the packing peanuts and bits completely around the cylinder to cover the body. Tie length into a bow and glue about a 1/3 of the way down the cylinder. Use black paper punch circles to form the eyes, mouth and buttons above and below the ribbon. Cut a small round circle out of black construction paper to form the base of the hat. Color a packing peanut black. Flatten the base of the peanut. Glue to the center of the black circle. Glue to the top of the cylinder. Add a carrot nose made from orange construction paper.
