Sun Prints

• Dark sheet of construction paper
• Construction paper scraps
• Markers/Crayons/Pencil Colors/Pencil
• Scissors

Time

1 hour

Procedure

Instruct students to:

1. Cut out shapes to create a collage or scene.
2. Arrange shapes on dark sheet of construction paper.
3. Lay construction paper outside in the sun.
4. Wait about an hour or more.
5. Remove the items.
6. You will see the paper has faded around the objects.

Tree

1. Cut out the shape of the trunk from brown paper.
2. Glue the trunk to the bottom of the tree.
3. Glue a cut out star to the treetop.
