Time

1 to 2 hours

Procedure

Instruct students to:

  2. Set aside.
  3. Trace and cut out approximately 30 leaves approximately 1 ½” by 3”
  4. Take scissors and score half of the leaves down the inside center and half down the opposite side to give dimension.
  5. Glue leaves overlapping around the outside edge of the wreath.
  6. Glue a 2nd ring slightly overlapping on the inside of the outer ring.
  7. Have students draw an object appropriate to the season on the inside of the wreath.

Tip

  • Have older students draw leaf shape. Use more than one design.
  • Have younger students use pre drawn/pre cut leaf patterns depending upon their skill level. Oval shape leaf patterns work best for tracing and cutting.
